POINT CLOUD AND ARCHITECTURAL DOCUMENTATION
3D scanning technology allows millions of points to be captured in 30 seconds, which form a cloud of points (scan or Point Cloud). In one project, tens and hundreds of individual scans can be combined and their exact binding into a common Point Cloud. It becomes the basis of accurate CAD drawings.
With quality baseline data, the design team could more easily arrive at a solution where the reconstruction would proceed without complications and be cost-effective.
In addition to CAD drawings, the customer also receives a photorealistic copy of the scanned object, better spatial orientation and familiarity with the object – as if it were physically there – the 3Dvu DejaVu effect. The end result – As Build CAD documentation (2D and/or 3D) created in the client’s desired configuration – AutoCad, Revit, SketchUp, etc. interior scanning of real-world objects, with the final product being a point cloud.
